Somebody asked me :
Why these lectures on Vitamins?
Why cant we just eat anything we like and when we get ill, which happens
anyway, then you can tell us what to use to cure the illness?
My answer :Natural Health Techniques is not only about "treating
"illnesses.
It is more about preventing illnesses and living healthfully
-physically, mentally, socially and spiritually.
That is why our mottos include sayings as :"You Are What You Eat." "Let
Your Food Be
Your Medicine And Let Your Medicine Be Your Food."
Indeed most of us are eating well, but we are far from feeding
well.Eating is moving the jaws, chewing, swallowing and filling up the
stomach. Everybody eats, but not everybody feeds the body with necessary
nutrients. We eat all sorts of junks and denutrenized foods eg, White
Bread, Polished Rice, Noddles, etc. These highly processed products not
only have no vitamins and minerals, they also disturbs the
Gastrointestinal System from absorbing vitamins and minerals from the
other few Natural foods we manage to eat.
So, how do we expect to be healthy under these circumstances?
What is the way out?
Simple! Let us eat more of Natural Foods in all the varieties that
Nature provides for us, at the times Nature provides them.A lot of
mangoes at its season, plenty oranges at its time, abundant carrots also
at its season. All these to be taken in a balanced diet.
